Having worked my whole life in the textile industry (started in the late 80s) it took me too long to realize that the textile industry is the second largest industry poluting our planet.
Today we are much wiser. Are we? We know about recycle, upcycle and reuse but a fact is that the annual amount of textile garbage is growing constantly (15 million tons of wastefloating the landfill only in the U.S).
People care more and more about healthy food and cosmetics but not necessarily about healthy textiles which cover the body our whole life.
The planet needs companies, new brands, start ups, investors and creative individuals helping and taking over responsibility.
